posture corrector

anyone ever use any of the posture correctors that vibrate when you slouch? Have gotten in the habit of rounding my shoulders & looking down. Would be nice to have some help when I am riding alone to remind me about it.

For anyone that has used them, can you set them so you can ride in 2point & go forward over a fence without it having a cow?

I have one, although admittedly haven’t worn it in a few weeks. I’ve never tried to ride in it, I don’t think the sticky backing would stay put while riding, and yes, it’ll definitely start vibrating when you’re in two point!

I try to wear mine for an hour or so each day just while doing normal things around the house. When I wear it consistently, I can tell my back is stronger and my posture is better.

They make a necklace now that you can attach it to, that might work for riding but I still think that the motion on a horse and the opening and closing of your hip angle will cause it to go a little wonky.

thank you, that helps

The best posture corrector I have found is the Equicube. My riding teacher loves how my back straightens when I carry it, and how my shoulders improve.

I cannot carry it much past a minute or so, but the good effects last for my whole lesson (30 minutes.)

Sugar Cubes, could you provide the name of your posture correction device? I have a lot of damage to the nerves and muscles in my neck from radiation and chemotherapy. Maybe it would help my awareness. Thank you.

interesting. I have never heard of it. Wouldn’t mind trying it, but my horse is not a nice steady schoolie. Wish I had access to something I could be longed on…

I have the Upright Go

The best thing is to think of your posture always. Right now playing on COTH. Walking around. Driving the car, etc

Don’t know if this works, but a friend of mine ordered an Eqright right before this Barn shut down. It clips to your helmet and you calibrate it and it vibrates if you look down and when your round your shoulders.

I would post the link, but I am not that technology advanced.
