I usually feed gel cap vitamin e to my horses, but now that the weather is cold and they are like frozen gel caps, one of my horses is spitting his out. Is there a good source for vitamin e in a powder or pellet? Not mixed with selenium, as I do have a supplement with that in it already…
Yes, yay! JB found this stuff. Powdered, natural vit e, that’s CHEAP!

I love Elevate. One tub lasts quite a while too.
I have recently switched to the Ultracruz vitamin E that Simkie mentioned, and am very happy with it. The mare gets 10000 IU per day, because of prior neurologic issues, so I have to watch the budget on this. Human (pill) supplements turn out to be much more expensive at that dosage.

I use this as well. Since I have other Vitamin E in my horse’s diet I use a partial serving. Very pleasant people to deal with and the last time I got my order the day after I called them!
I use Elevate and get it through Santa Cruz. I use other supplements from Santa Cruz, though, and have been really pleased with their products and pricing; their customer service can’t be beat. They also have great prices on their prescription products.
Another “thumbs-up” for Ultra Cruz. I also had to start feeding 10,000 iu/day when my horse had EPM. I love that it’s a relatively small volume of powder and it’s palatable enough that my somewhat-picky horse licks it out of the feed dish after it sifts through his pelleted grain. And it’s economical, even factoring in shipping to the east coast. Now if only Smartpak would get on board …
Awesome, thanks!
I can’t take full credit for the Ultra Cruz, as I learned about it a few years ago from someone here. But it’s too good not to share every chance I can!
Another Ultra Cruz user here!
I use Ultracruz too, thanks to JB and it seems to work as well as if not better than Elevate.
Elevate here and I love it, though I think the oil is more effective than the powder. Am definitely going to check if Ultra Cruz is available in Canada
