PPM to grams or milligrams - Can anyone work this out?

I want to compare two mineral supplements. One lists the level of the minerals in PPG… Can anyone tell me how to convert this? Google is not helping me unfortunately

Eg. It contains copper proteinate at 300 ppm?

It is a 1.5kg bag, fed out at 50gms p/d

Thanks for your help

“ppm” is the same as mg/kg. If you know how many kg of the supplement you are feeding, then you can determine the mg of copper proteinate being fed.

So if you feed 50 g of the supplement per day:

50 g supplement/serving * (1 kg/1000 g) = 0.05 kg supplement/serving * (300 mg Cu Prot./1 kg supplement) =

15 mg Cu Prot./serving

ppm number divided by 2.2 is mg/lb

Thank you! I knew someone would be able to help me

It drives me crazy that every thing seems to have a different type of measurement. There are charts on line that have helped me to decipher this.
