At some point all sports deal with negative publicity, but racing doesn’t appear to handle it in a timely fashion. Drugs have been a a topic of concern for more decades than I care to remember. I am opposed to federal regulations but anticipate it will happen because industry leadership is just plain lousy and nonsensical. Had to laugh the other day when I read this headline “VA Showcases Its Racing in MD.”
