Prairie Hill Socrates... won the Stallion/Geldings Sport Horse class at Morgan Grand Nationals

I came back for an update on my daughter and her horse Prairie Hill Socrates at the Morgan Grand Nationals. Over the many, many years that we have shown Morgans this was my daughter’s first Win.

Prairie Hill Socrates was in a class of eight who were all older older/experienced horses, he is only two.

A few days ago a trainer was looking at him commenting on his size telling my daughter that he is going to be Huge. He currently stands 15.1+ but they were looking at his joints expecting his to go well over 16h… they were saying he has a lot of growth yet to come.

He was also awarded the Morgan Sport Horse High Point award over all stallions/gelding/mares … so two wins

Once I get his award photo and release I will come back to post it.

My daughter has worked for over twenty five years to win a class at Nationals… we have lot of seconds but these are the first wins.

WOW, WOW and triple WOW! :applause:

All those years of learning, picking a great colt and there is the reward.

It is very nice to let us be part of it, thank you.

Pictures would be lovely, please.:love-struck:

Aimee tried hard with Mulligan, he was Reserve in several class (he did win his National Championship as a Competitive Trail Horse)

Socks has a big job ahead of him to be a good as Mulligan was, but he is only two having a long career ahead of him

will get some new photos of these two, it was 98F here today and they were just happy to put into their stalls to set under their fans. They are doing well. Lakota is on a diet as he was getting Fat. Bonnie is set to go back to work this week after having the summer off.

You’ve got a pretty nice backyard for horses, and a darn good groom, and trainer. Congratulations, and many more!

Congratulations!

Congratulations!, You picked a lovely horse and have obviously taught him well! Thanks for sharing!!

I remember your post when you brought him home between blizzards.

Congratulations @clanter!! That’s quite the honor.

I can’t edit but I forgot to say I don’t envy you guys your 98 degrees. I’d be parked out in the stalls with the horses and their fans, while sharing some cold watermelon. Lol
