I’ve been looking for an alternative fly sheet for my horse, because I’m not thrilled with the fit of the current one he’s wearing. Just a little tight in the front. Premier equine bug buster https://www.premierequine.co.uk/products/bug-buster-fly-rug-with-belly-flap. I like this one because it has a nice belly flap although I read some reviews, it said the belly flap wasn’t adjustable enough so didn’t fit the horse. The other one is the premier equine super lite https://www.premierequine.co.uk/products/super-lite-fly-rug-with-surcingles. This is apparently the lightest material on the market, but it doesn’t actually have holes in it end it doesn’t have a belly flap Has anybody tried this sheet for this material? any opinions on these two sheets would be greatly appreciated!
I bought the Premier Equine Combo Mesh fly sheet a couple of months ago, and my mare has been wearing it as needed since then. It’s been a great choice for her–she tends to be a heavy sweater, and this sheet seems to keep her cool.
For reference, she’s an Irish Draught and wears an 84" sheet. She is broad across the shoulders, and the sheet fits her well. Last year she wore an Amigo fly sheet, and that got pretty roughed up in a short time. The PE sheet still looks very good.
One thing that I wasn’t expecting with this sheet was that the neck protector is sewn to the sheet, so you can’t easily detach it without doing violence to the sheet itself. But I’ve actually been happy with her wearing the neck protector.
It’s between The bug buster with belly band or the mesh sheet. I really like the mesh sheet in blue The only thing it doesn’t have a belly wrap.
Have you ever had any trouble with mane getting rubbed with the integrated neck?
I haven’t had any problems with rubs at all. I’ve been very happy overall with the sheet.

not at all, we do have one for the yearling that has a Velcro connector between his fly mask and the neck covering that interlinks the fly mask with his flysheet which really helps keeping everything in place
The belly band coverings are a nice addition to the older style flysheets
I think the bug buster is the sheet I want to try. Although the manufacture tells me the super lite weight on the market.
I got the sheet yesterday. It’s a very nice sheet with good airflow so I was very sad that the belly band isn’t long enough for him. The rest of the sheet is the right size and plenty of length at the back so I’m a little hesitant to go up a size.
