Premier Equine Rugs

Wondering if anyone has had these rugs and how they worked out? The prices on their English site seem so reasonable - interested in how much duty/shipping you would end up spending by the time it arrived in Canada or U.S.A.? Any advice welcome.

We have several and they are very nice. A little stiff which is ok for us as they hold up in the wind well. My TB does get shoulder rubs from his but the others appear to fit well. Shipping has been quick although not inexpensive. Still far cheaper to order from them than get rambos. I believe the shipping came out to around 100USD when we got 3 blankets (sheet, 100g, and 450g, all with neck covers)

How was the sizing? I was thinking about trying one for my guy that wears a 75 (6’3") in Rambo and Bucas - would I order the same in these? Someone keeps shredding his blankets at the barn and I’d like to have a cheaper one to sacrifice rather than his $$$ Rambos.

Yes, I was curious about sizing also. Do you like the neck covers?

They are about the same as the rambos. They have a longer drop but fit about the same front to back. The neck covers fit well, less open gaps at the velcro and I like the elastic at the top to make a snugger fit. You still get the open spot at the chest if they pick their head up but that’s about it.

Hi all

In my experience, premier equine come up very generously. My two wear a 5.9 in premier equine and a 6ft in most other makes.

They are nicely made rugs. I partcularly like the liner system. I’ve never had any trouble with rug rubs. They are very heavy when they are wet, though.

I’m in the UK, so can’t help with postage costs at all.

I have 9 of these and LOVE them. They’re a little stiff, but sturdy. I love that they come with both leg straps and a plastic coated tail cord with snaps for options. I also like that they fit a little higher up on the shoulders, since many blankets tend to fall back on my horses. I do find that they run big, similar to the Rambos or even a little bigger, and the drop is very long. One mare of mine is usually a 72-75 (and only a 72 in the horseware brands), and she fit comfortably in a 69 I accidentally put on her.
Shipping is expensive, but very fast, and the exchange rate is favorable right now. I can’t quite afford Rambos for all of my herd, but these are my next favorites!

They come up a size bigger than Rambos, I measured them both on the horse and on the floor an 87 Rambo = 84 PE.
They are very deep on the sides at least 1 inch deeper vs Rambo.
They are awesome for either tall or broad horses. Very waterproof, even after repeated washes and hold up well in horseplay.
I am very happy with them! Shipping to the US is sadly rather pricey, hence I always wait until the blanket I’m after is on the 20% off sale, so it covers some of the shipping.

Very nice rugs, better than Rambo, IMO. They run big. I wish there were more US Distributors. I love their liners and also the tail cords.
