I checked the FAQ but didn’t see anything helpful. So, how does a new premium member go about posting photos?

I just activated your Premium status, so you should see a Manage Attachments area below the message composition area (you have to go to the full “advanced” message composition screen vs. the quick reply), where you can attach photos.
