has anyone used this product?
It appears to be ice packs that have compression delivered to them via a battery operated system attached to the horse. I presently have the IceHorse Continuous Cooling machine which I love but I need to do four legs and so I need to buy something to do two more legs. I’ve been using the equifit compression ice packs (to do the second set of legs) which are certainly better than any other ice pack I’ve used but I’m running into the issue that two of the horses I Ice I Ice almost back to back. That’s why I like the machine. I have an ice machine that makes ice at the barn so easy to refill and no wait time. I also feel like the ice packs never get the legs as cold as the machines because the legs start to warm up. I was considering the Game Ready but I have some horses that are pretty hard on stuff. Obviously I can be more careful with the GR but the Ice Horse has been dragged, kicked, stepped on, etc and still keeps on ticking. Another concern I had with the GR is that I never felt like it got the legs cold enough- we had one for a few months a few years ago and I feel like the legs get colder with the IceHorse. However, I don’t have any experience with their newer machines and honestly I could have been doing something wrong so don’t want to discount it right off the at. Does anyone have any experience with these machines? I’m leaning away from the Pressure Ice only because it appears to be based around an ice pack and I’m not a huge fan of ice packs. I do, however, like that it’s completely self contained which means less likely for something to be stepped on!
