Prestige Dressage Saddle Stamp

Hello!

I am looking at possibly purchasing an older Prestige- I am curious about the stamp. It doesn’t seem to follow the same pattern as previous Prestige stamps I’ve seen or any I’ve seen on the internet.

17 36 334 029

The first two are clearly seat and tree size. I’m mostly curious if there is a clue as to when it was made.

It is clearly marked prestige in multiple places on the saddle, it has the right look, so I’m not doubting what it is.

Thank you all!

VTO has a good resource for decoding Prestige serial numbers: https://vtosaddlery.wordpress.com/2012/02/22/decoding-serial-numbers/

However it’s a bit irrelevant in this case, as it looks like this saddle predates Prestige’s current serial number system as outlined above. The 334 should be an individual identifier for that exact saddle, and perhaps the final three numbers indicate a production date of February 2009?

17 is the seat size, 36 is the tree (although best to get the tree checked as Prestige’s can be adjusted and not all saddle fitters will re-mark the serial number), and then the last 6 numbers would be the identifier code.

At least that is what I was told on my older Prestige serial number

Alos 36 would be a very wide tree!
