I had a chance to sit in several Prestige models today and the S1 and X-Breath have the wide channel that my horse needs. The S1 was extremely comfortable for me, the X-Breath less so. I’m wondering if anyone has ridden in either model, particularly the S1, as it is a bit unusual? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
I’ve ridden in the S1 and the X-Breath, neither worked for me or the horse. I worry about the movement in the S1, the dual tree makes me a little leery of how it will affect the horse’s back. Jumping in it felt just like any other saddle. I don’t know that it’s worth the steep price tag. . .
All the Prestige Saddles are available with a pretty wide channel, so you may want to sit in several and then have one ordered to fit you both.
The X-Breath reminds me of the Wise Air (Phillip Dutton’s saddle). I have one of these and love it. I wonder how similar they are in balance, fit, and feel.
