I am posting this on OffCourse because it’s a cross-discipline subject. I need my Prestige CC saddle adjusted to a wider gullet width. I was disappointed that there is no shop in my immediate area who can adjust the saddle, but I understand VTO is authorized by Prestige to adjust the gullet.
Has anyone had experience with VTO for this? Price? Length of time to expect before saddle is returned? Thank you!
Yes, they actually pre-adjusted my Prestige Lucky before sending it to me (I sent them tracings). I want to say the man’s name is Paul that does it, I may be wrong. I’m not sure of price, as they had custom-ordered my saddle and adjusted it when it arrived. I would give a week at least to account for shipping both ways. Give them a call - they were really nice and very helpful.
I did not end up having it done, but had checked VTO out when I thought I needed to adjust my Prestige and they had great recommendations here on COTH and elsewhere. I would call them re/time and price as that could have changed – when I inquired, it was $150 to adjust, including the shipping back to me (so I would pay to ship to them, then pay VTO $150 to adjust the tree and ship back to me). I think they gave me a 2 week turnaround, but again, I’d just call or e-mail them to find out what the current pricing and timeline is like.
I had an older Nona Garson Prestige narrowed by VTO. Very, very happy with the service (lots of email communication before I sent the saddle; they told me what angle photos they needed to see & recommended a tree size based on those photos).
Saddle was returned very quickly & fit the horse like a glove!
Thanks all. I spoke with Paul at VTO, who does the Prestige adjustments, and said with their current back log they can have the saddle done and back to me within the next week or so.
The price was consistent with Horsepoor’s post.
I plan to double check the fit this evening, then mail the saddle to them for adjustment.
