Hello, I am getting into Dressage and have been looking at saddles. The Prestige line is supposed to be a good saddle, however I saw a Roma in person and the leather looks and feel ‘cheap’. Can anyone tell me your experience with this saddle…Thank you, I have 2 draftx horses to fit, and no tack shop nearby! TIA
I just bought (last fall) one of the new “Lucky” pony dressage saddle from Prestige and I LOVE it!! For the price the leather is spectacular and I like it better than the leather on my friend’s $3000 saddle. The saddle also fits my pony really well and everyone who’s seen it has been really impressed.
i worked the the saddle fitter at VTO who was AWESOME to work with and made the process really easy even when I made a silly guess and needed to try two different trial saddles.
Roma is the entry level saddle from Prestige. Their higher end saddles have nicer leather
I also have the ‘Lucky’ for my 13hh pony… he and I both love it. We have had it for 2+ years. My granddaughter also rides in it and she loves it too.
I had a Schleese my other larger pony… which suited both of us at the time… but I think the Prestige saddles are much nicer. Bette quality and much better service.
When I sold the Schleese I got a used Prestige Eventer
