Prestige saddles for hunters? Thoughts?

I am in need of a new saddle as I’m buying a new, very differently shaped horse from my last one. I’ve had a County Innovation for my last two rides but feel like the new horse is not destined to wear one well. And the two I own are not going to be adjusted to fit new horse regardless.

I have ridden in my SILs Prestige Eventer and love it. But…what are the other styles like? I like the price point and there’s a dealer a few hours from me if I want to get serious. Any Prestige owners want to chime in?

I have had my Prestige Meredith since 2005-2006 and I love it so much. It’s a medium-wide tree and fits every horse I’ve put it on (+/- a fleece half pad). I do jumpers. My trainer has the exact same saddle and mostly does hunters. There is another similar model called the Nona Garson I believe, which I have ridden in as well and also liked quite a lot. Good luck!

It might be worth checking out their new Renaissance line, it is made in partnership with Frederic Butet and the items I saw at the Kentucky Three Day Event trade fair last year looked nice!

Love my Nona Garson.

Two years ago I made the exact opposite switch! I rode A circuit hunters in a Prestige Meredith, but it didn’t fit my new horse, who ended up with a County Innovation. If you like the way the Innovation rides, you’ll love the Meredith – they feel very, very similar to me!

Brutus- that’s exactly what I needed to know! Thank you-- I’m going to ride in my SILs saddle on new horse to see how it feels, then move on from there. I haven’t found a CWD that feels right to me and I might call my County rep to see if she has any Innovations I could try on new horse, too. Mine are either too narrow (for most recent horse I sold) or too wide and specialized (for retired jumper).

I have a Prestige Meredith, ride in the hunters and love it! I did get it fit to my current horse but I love how it fits me and the small bit of white on the cantle is barely noticeable…it is by far, the comfiest saddle I’ve owned!
