Pretty inspiring story and lovely ride

I don’t know if everybody saw this but I thought this story was pretty inspiring. I saw their rides on Instagram too and I thought they were really great. And the commentator had nothing but really positive comments about the pair!

I always love seeing an off breed doing well. And I love when I watch a ride that looks like the rider really enjoys the horse:)

I’m not sure if the link will work for everybody but here’s one of the rides! Not perfect but very enjoyable and pretty darn good in my opinion.

This is the kind of riding and partnership that dressage is all about, for me.

I love that she had to work for it. I mean I know everyone does, but sounds like he made her even it.

I can relate to the being dragged in the dirt trying to longe

That was lovely!! I read the article yesterday, but didn’t see any of the rides. Thanks for posting!

My favorite part watching that ride was in some parts you could see them both really working for it. Not in a bad or forceful way, just the intense concentration of the horse making his body do things it wasn’t born to do, and the rider really having to ask/encourage him to do it. But the horse still looked happy.

It reminded me of watching my daughter in competitive gymnastics. Those bodies of various shapes and natural inclinations working so hard to learn the skills and gain the required strength.

I need to find more inspiring riders like this one! Where does one typically go.to follow AA dressage??

Totally agree!! I enjoy watching the professionals on their very fancy horses but I have to say I enjoy watching some of the amateurs even more! It’s more relatable and inspiring for me

Did you see the one, was it last year, of the little Morgan?

2 years ago. I’ll try to find video for that too. It was also a very enjoyable ride to watch.

This isn’t the test the article of both was talking about, I think this is a year later. There was a few bobbles but again what an awesome little guy! Apparently he’s 14.2 at the wither and 15.1 behind. I wish I could find the tests from 2021 but I fell short.

And here is a little mustang that I follow. I believe she’s been trying out the GP this year. But anyways I think it’s all pretty fun to watch (even if they aren’t all winning, wow what an accomplishment either way.)

Thanks for posting the link. The commentary was lovely.
Though I didn’t hear the end of her paragraph, it sounded as if Kathy Connelly would’ve given her more than a 6.5 for General Impression. Although I know video bleeds efforts and being there IRL is way different, strictly from the tape, if that isn’t harmony, I don’t know what is.
