Never claimed any “wealth of experience” although I have more than 30 yrs with horses. NOT an expert but do not claim to be. Don’t need “gruesome” details as I get this every day at work. I do not think someone should post on this board that they “are in the know” about a situation such as this. Oh and you feel that if you have not posted often you have no “experience”? Hmmm…[/QUOTE]
Having read these forums for a long time and having joined in for a little while, I had none of your negative reaction to Laurierace’s post.
One of the benefits of this forum is the experience of it’s members. After some experience here, you do get a feeling for people. You have been a member since 2007. Do you read the forums often?
Unlike other horsey forums on the internet (many of which are populated by teenagers and people who OBVIOUSLY exaggerate their experience)
there is not so much posturing by people here, especially long term members, they’ll be sure to be found out!
I hope that we, and especially people who have yet to get to know the other
members, can refrain from judging them and try to keep to the topic at hand.
No one here has any problem with calling out people who pretend to be experts when they are not.
However…
Ascribing selfish motives to people is guesswork at best, and beside being unpleasant to read, it is really unnecessary and unproductive.
I’m sure that if Laurierace had “heard” that someone WAS “at fault” for the accident that she would not have said anything!
Since what she “heard” was that the accident could in no way be blamed on anyone, I think it was fine for her to say so, since someone did ask! JMHO of course.
