Problems around the farm you wish there was a product for.

Something that gets rid of GNATS!

A scissors finder.

I’d like a Roomba for the aisle.[/QUOTE]

I tied a giant neon-pink ribbon to the barn scissors. It has helped a bit.

I’m surprised my mother hasn’t brought her Roomba out to the family barn. She has…issues about barn aisle cleanliness. If there’s even a few stalks of hay on the floor, you can bet on the broom being in her hand the moment she walks into the barn.

I would like DIY, horse-safe fencing (yes, something even easier than HorseGuard).

A brush with a tick magnet – you just dust them off, and the brush sucks the ticks up and fries them.

This is more for the house, but, I’d love a little doggie door that delivers the dogs into a small washing machine with a port hole so they can stick their head out, into the mudroom. Then, like a car wash, it sprays 'em, soaps 'em, rinses 'em and blow dries 'em while they nibble on snacks (to distract them). Then, and only then, it releases them into the house. Please, someone, make one!

A fast working mud dryer.

An absorbent, sustainable material for horse bedding that is so quick drying that it doesn’t have to be removed daily!

They do have a Roomba type lawn mower. It isn’t fast but it does get the job done if your’e not fussy about what your lawn looks like.

There’s a redneck lawn Roomba method here…

A gadget to pick up manure that really works.
I keep my horses at home but have two oldies that need to be mostly in a dry lot. I also am a oldie and can no clean that paddock so I’m boarding two horses that could be home but whose going to pick up all that manure. Hurt my shoulder and back last time i tried ,my shoulder says never again.
A dry lot roomba, tough and fast.

A magic wand that I can use to magically create nice things like clean tack or remove things like flies and Poop. Failing that, I’d like a magical saddle that instantly adjusts itself to perfectly fit both horse and rider (and can magically change from say a jumping saddle to a dressage saddle to a bareback pad or what have you).

A “Flowbie” for the mane instead of mane pulling.

A mud INCINERATOR!!

I HATE wearing gloves. I like doing things w/my bare hands. I’d love a product to cover the tips of my fingers only so that I don’t get dirt under my nails when I groom and clean the barn.

They aren’t pretty, but fingertip protectors exist and some of them are durable enough to survive at the barn.

I want a ROOMBA for mowing, weedwacking and spraying the weeds.

Disposable leather tack.
Use once, toss.

Yes, I am lazy & rarely give my tack the decent cleaning it deserves :uhoh:
I find myself daydreaming of Use Once when I am cleaning after an especially sweaty ride.

Now that pasture roomba sounds like a great idea… :encouragement:

OMG. This is the best idea I’ve heard in years. Since I live on a dog farm (landlords/bosses breed Labs…30-ish dogs out in kennels/barns/fields, and 2 to 7 litters at any given time, plus my 4 dogs who sleep in my bed!!!), I would like this to be industrial-sized. Maybe 5 dogs at a time?

My hubby is pretty creative and handy…he’s a plumber and a welder. Maybe I can talk him into making a prototype!! Believe me, we’ve tried to make stranger things than this…and more ambitious! If anyone can make it, he can!

Frog Pond - if we manage to come up with something, you can be our Beta test site.

You might try Beta Biothane tack. I & several friends have thrown tack made of the stuff into the dishwasher on occasion.

Saddles too?

Actually have some beta-biothane driving reins & like the feel.
But it really does not compare to the feel of aged & cared-for leather.
