Professional Choice VS Classic Equine Legacy boots

I am in the market for a new pair of sport medicine boots. I’ve only ever used Professional Choice, and have had great luck with them. But, I know girls who swear by each. I would like to hear opinions, recommendations, preferences, and experiences. Thanks in advance!

Neither. Went with just basic surface protection as there’s no evidence of actual injury preventing tendon support. Plus the SMs can get extremely hot and sand can work into them.

What are you doing you need the spendy boots for ?

I don’t like the Classic Equine full SMB type. I prefer their pro-tect split boots if I have to use something. I like the Pro Choice SMBs better - seem to fit better and have less issues with them sliding down.

That being said - I polo wrap 98% of the time.

I am on a drill team and we use the boots as colorful accents. Also…I am a believer in their support benefits

I am no good at putting them on. I’ve been shown and I practiced and practiced.

No boot or wrap will support anything - they cannot be tightened enough to support but can be tight enough to do irreparable damage to sot tissue. SMBs are just a way of separating people from their dough and for colour, there are candidates that do not generate or hold as much heat as those pricy things do.

Personally, I don’t like Classic Equine because I can never get them to fit right (the darts never line up where they should). I have not yet tried their newest design though.

I like the Professionals Choice boots and that’s what I use.

But on the flip side, I don’t like the professionals choice bells boots. But I do like the Classic Equine dyno turn and that’s what I Use.

I agree that boots and/or polos actually offer very little in terms of real support (single digit percentages). However, I am a big fan of them for the sheer physical protection. It’s much easier to replace a boot, than replace horse flesh, when you are doing high-speed maneuvars such as barrel racing or reining. If I did drill team, I’d wear them for that too. There’s enough going on that it wouldn’t be out of the question for a horse to over-reach or step on themselves.

I am the same way. Professional choice sport boots all the way, but Classic Equine offer better bell boots
