ProForce XTN vs Cavalor Performix/Superforce

Looking for opinions/results of Nutrena ProForce XTN grain versus Cavalor Performix (or Endurix) as a main feed and SuperForce at competitions for a (very fit) upper level horse that could use more energy, especially over multi day competitions.

I’ve heard positive results first hand for both of these feeds, and have compared them myself, but am curious for more opinions especially if someone has used both and saw more results with one. Thanks!

I started feeding proforce XTN here a week ago. Horse’s in hard work losing weight. So far I love it both horses have more energy.

Did 8 hour ride yesterday trotting and lots of cantering. Both horse’s were still full of energy after 8 hours. Was 87 degrees out and humid. Took 4 /15 minute breaks let horse eat grass and have water. Both were ready to go after break.

I don’t have any experience with the Cavalor feed. I have tried the XTN and it is rocket fuel. I was feeding the ProForce Fuel and adding in 1lb the night before a hunt and 1lb the morning of a hunt. It was a small amount, but it turned my TB who could gallop and then stand quietly into a major squirm. He just could NOT stand still, and had trouble just walking. He was fine to manage it we were trotting, cantering or galloping. Pulled the feed and he was back to his manageable self within a few days.

It will definitely provide you with a horse who has plenty of energy.

The biggest difference between Fuel and XTN is dietary starch. XTN has 25%, Fuel has 13%. The other differences are minimal. XTN fat is 12%, Fuel is 13%. Lysine in XTN is 0.8%, o.75% in Fuel. Methionine is 0.37% in the former and 0.35% in the latter.
