PS of Sweden Nirak - legal?

I’m trying to confirm if the PS of Sweden Nirak bridle is legal for eventing dressage?

I see in the rulebook it specifically approves the Jump Off and the High jump models. I know the Nirak is approved for USEF dressage.

Anyone know for eventing dressage? Or who I can check with? Thx.

for the record - if anyone is wondering - it is NOT YET approved for eventing dressage. It has been approved for USDF dressage.

Which is odd.

I thought so too! But apparently there are some vast differences between USDF and USEA as far as the legality on the different PS Of Sweden bridles. I figured the Nirak was so much like the (approved) Micklem, and being approved for USDF I almost just assumed it was ok to use. But apparently its still under review.
The High Jump is legal in USEA vs NOT legal for USDF. The Jump Off is legal for both.
But glad I checked at least (FWIW I got my information directly from USEF.)

Did they mention why? I’m assuming its the adjustable nods and buckle location…but really?

The Nirak has the noseband and cheekpieces all rolled into one, vs the micklem or PS Pioneer where the noseband is still dropping from the crown separately.
