PSA: Do not order from Corro

So it looks like Corro may be going bankrupt or something. Their website says:

"We are excited to relaunch a new and improved Corro to better meet your equine needs. We will be back soon!

All outstanding orders will be fulfilled. For anything we can help you with in the meantime, please email us at hello@corroshop.com."

However, their FB and IG accounts are filled with complaints from customers who have been charged but received no orders, and can’t get a response via email or phone.

I ordered on April 27 but have not received my order. I’ve emailed four times with no response. I finally opened a dispute with Amex.

be aware You must file a report on a disputed purchase within 60 days of the statement date on which the charge appeared .

back when companies were delaying shipments due to shortages I had to inform a company as it was getting to 45 days that I was going to dispute the charge to my card unless you ship the order now.

They refunded the money

I know a company does not want a disputed credit charge on their account as it does increase their processing fees

I disputed the charge today because even after four emails, they’re not responding.

I had considered ordering from them at the beginning of this year. They kept popping up in my searches for horsey stuff. Since I hadn’t heard of them (vs. Smartpak, Adam’s, Dover, etc.) I googled: “Is Corro legit”? Got lots of feedback that their service, shipping, response time was iffy, so I never did order - even though their prices seemed about 10% less than the others. Glad I didn’t!

I had multiple very good experiences with them, then my last order was pretty delayed back in early April maybe? I did get a response saying they were moving warehouses, and did actually receive my order a few days later. Just waiting to see how things play out, but if they come back I’ll definitely give them another shot.

Weird. Last year, they were at all the big shows here in the NE handing out coupons, promos, small gifts, etc. I know a lot of people who liked them and had good experiences.

I’ve ordered from them a bunch of times and they’ve always been great. Something has definitely changed.
