PSA: end of USEFNetwork free fan member on demand access

It was bound to happen, membership numbers don’t mean anything if they aren’t paying for it. And time zones and work mean I’ll have to upgrade to watch what I want to. It’s totally worth $2 a month, but anyone know what will happen to current memberships?

It was bound to happen. Last spring when I was checking my network access to be sure I could watch the Kentucky 5*, I went ahead and paid for the $25 fan membership. This is a service I rely on and enjoy, and $25 is a reasonable amount to pay.

I’m a competing USEF member now, but the fan membership was never “free”. Most of the major streaming events offered a promo code for a free fan membership, but it always cost $25.

Maybe that will still be the case? All the same, I was able to get a USEF number with my fan membership which definitely has saved me more than $25 in discounts from Dover and SmartPak, so I’ve found it to be a good deal.

And I agree with you, even without the discounts, or promo codes, I still thought $25 is reasonable to pay considering the cost associated with putting up a livestream!

You will not be able to access anything On Demand (in the article posted), but you can still watch livestream with a free fan membership. For On Demand they are changing the $25.

I also think it is worth it. It has been nice watching for free, but I completely understand that there are costs associated with producing quality show video and we’ve been lucky so far to not have to pay.

Meh, it’s worth 25 bucks. No big deal.
