Just got an email about it… I’m going to order a new one so I thought I’d pass on the info
Stupid question - are the Road Ids available to be used in recognized shows instead of the arm band? I thought I read they changed the rule this year to allow it. Also, there was something specific for Pony Club, does any one remember what’s required for Pony Club?
I don’t know about PC, but I know if you have the interactive one it’s USEA legal (to my knowledge). I like the regular ones even just for traveling or trail riding so I have emergency contact info on me!
From the rule book:
Medical bracelets must be visible on the competitor’s wrist. Medical cards must include any relevant medical history, injury (particularly to the head), drug allergies and current medication. If wearing a medical bracelet, any relevant medical history, injury (particularly to the head) drug allergies and current medication must be included in the online medical form of the bracelet’s vendor website or integrally in the bracelet.
I have a road id that lists allergies, med history, and various contact info. If you put the appropriate info on the bracelet you don’t need an interactive one. I VASTLY prefer wearing it to wearing an armband, which was prone to come loose at inopportune times. Therefore I end up wearing it much more, for hacks and so on.

This! Not only is the RoadID legal, you now don’t need the interactive one (read: yearly fee to access your info on-line) as long as pertinent info is on it. Thanks! I got my niece one.
Be aware that at some venues, organizers still require that you wear a medical armband as there is limited or no internet access on the XC property. In case of emergency, they want to be sure they can access your medical info even if in an internet or cell dead zone. I know this was the case at a number of events in Area 1 in 2014.

My understanding is the internet component is not required as long as the complete minimum information is present on the bracelet itself.
Mine has name/dob, two emergency numbers, medications, allergies, and insurance info on it. If an organizer refused it, I would have to point out that it complies with the rule and they cannot force me to wear an armband (which I don’t even own anymore).
Right, if you read the rule, you do not need an interactive bracelet if you can fit the relevant info on the bracelet. I had room for allergies, current meds, date of recent concussion, horse contact info, 2 contacts for me, name and dob.
Im a newbie to eventing (my ex-adult hunter and I completed our first two trials this past fall). These look cool!
What is the essential information I would need on one? Id like to order one but I want to make sure I have everything on it to make it legal.
THanks!
Soloudinhere, may I ask if yours is a standard roadie or another brand?
asterix, any tips for fitting it all on?
It looks very difficult to fit all that on a standard of this brand, but maybe I’m just confused (as usual)? Is info on front and back??? I’d like to *strongly encourage my students to wear one and know this would also be better for eventing and Pony Club. I just don’t want folks locked in to yearly fee… Thanks everyone, eager to order soon!
TaggCode doesn’t have a yearly fee unless you get the “instructor” access ones - something about allowing access to multiple accounts. I love my TaggCode. Last year I scanned my coggins and had it loaded so just in case I forgot it, I could use the bracelet/website to bring it up.
Thanks for sharing! I need another Scout ID for my dog.

Mine is the larger road ID with a second plate added for the insurance info.
I was kicking myself for not getting one last year when they had the sales going on. Thanks!
Sigh ordered 2 this morning for the fiancé and me…
Great sale!

Or you could just have it on your phone
