What prompted you to put him on Immubiome Lean Muscle? And what type of effect did you notice? I’m toying with the idea of putting my mare on it but it’s pricey and I’m not 100% sure what I’m hoping to get from it (but several PSSM2 folks seem to swear by it!)
I started him on Lean Muscle in October 2020, at my trainer’s recommendation and after a phone call with ImmuBiome’s founder (because there are a couple of other ImmuBiome supplements that overlapped with the issues I wanted to address). I wanted the muscle-building support for his topline and hind end, the pre- and probiotics for his stomach and hindgut, and also soft tissue, joint, and hoof support. Later, when I found those Facebook groups and saw so many people talking about Lean Muscle, it was an interesting but unsurprising coincidence.
He’s a picky eater and all of the typical sneak-small-amounts-slowly-build-up and peppermint oil and applesauce tricks and techniques just never work on him, so the fact that he eats it is a big deal. This is also part of why he gets Gro n’ Win and not, for example, a tri-amino supplement mixed in with a more typical ration balancer.
What I noticed: within about three months, his overall condition improved significantly. And then in May 2021, as he shed the last of his winter velvet, he had dapples for the first time in his nine years of life. His butt and his topline definitely got better, although it wasn’t a miracle panacea by any stretch (he still needed more muscle and more weight before it felt fair to ask him to do real work, so we kept going with the questions and the diagnostics until we got our PSSM2 diagnosis in November '21).
