She is a big baby and beautiful.
We need to know her height once measured.
She is… emotional
She did fine, I rode her several times while she is there, she was always great for me but trainer reported she can be spicy if you change the environment. She was mostly ridden in an smallish indoor but at the end was out in a (to me) scary large outdoor surrounded with trees and lots of road noise. She was a kick ride there, we will see how she is at home
And yes, her socks are muah (chef’s kiss)

I will measure and report back at the end of the month!!
She’s gorgeous.
My quick little side story - I was in the market for a inexpensive greenie to put some miles on and re-sell to start building a pot for my “good” prospect. I talked to someone about a gelding, and by the time I was talking to them they were already under contract for the original gelding. She did day she had his half-brother. Sent me photos and vid - went and tried him. Ended up buying the brother and while I expected him to be a turn-around project, ended up keeping him and showed him through PSG. His brother was still there when I saw my guy and would not have wanted the original horse anyway.
Sometimes things just work out the way they are supposed to.
So adorable. Love the face.
She’s going to be fun. Will you be starting her yourself?
It depends on how she is going and what life is like in ~three years. My plan is to be back on patrol by then (hopefully by October of this year, tbh ) which sounds worse for a consistent schedule but actually isn’t. Libbi went to the trainer because my four-10s and constantly being on call was making it so I barely had three days a week for consistency. Plus she was a little spicy Volley I think will be much more chill. If nothing else, I’ll be able to send her to the trainer for less than four months, unlike Libbi who went and then pretended she was feral with no manners who had never seen a human before The trainer couldn’t even long line until the second month. Horses, right?
My goodness that filly is beautiful. And bless those Irish brains- assuming they use their powers for good! So good luck with her, since she seems like she has some pony clever in there…
Okay just for info and an extra pic, I measured Libbi yesterday and she is 15.1 and a quarter at the wither and 15.2 at the hip. Still not measuring Volley until the end of the month For reference, I expect Libbi to get to 16/16.1 when she’s done (genetically she should and she tapes to 16.1, though I’m wondering…) and I went back to her yearling measure on her birthday: 13.3 and change, and 14.2 at the hip
Is she part Chocolate Lab?
I quite think Volley is the cutest thing ever. Thanks for sharing!
I think it’s Golden Retriever?
You guys she is still growing I KNOW this is a good and expected thing but I think she overheard me say I was waiting until her birthday for a measure and said “bet.” Ten more days…
Volley is wearing Libbi’s halter - it’s hanging down underneath but the length She is all head and legs right now. This is one of my coworkers who came out to snag some horse shoes to try to make into knives; as you can see, they are not friendly at all, very leery of strangers. Volley is standing about two inches higher than Libbi because she’s on the mats and the concrete but that HEAD
A week late because my stick broke and I had to order a new one (first world problems!).
She is 14.2 and a half at the wither and an inch taller at the hip. Also, still adorable!
Very adorable!
So adorable!!!
And so well built.
A month later, I was finally able to get a decent conformation shot but only by video Also yes, I’m pretty sure she’s hit 15hh but at this point I’m scared to measure her. And no, my older mare is not normally this friendly with her, but she’s in heat
