Purina Strategy Healthy Edge

I have found some older threads regarding this feed but can anybody give me some current opinions about it? Do horses look good and stay calm/quiet when fed correct amount?

My senior guys do great on it. Two have Cushings. They’re all shiny and dappled and in good weight. I’ve never had them get hot on it, but I don’t feed large amounts, either.

I used it for a while with air fern PREs. switched to renew gold this year but only because my vet was recommending the change. My horses did just fine on it but I didn’t feed them much of it. Small portions

Love it! Fed a barn of 50+ horses with it, and only had to adjust a few diets. (Needed the 30% supp for easy keepers, and Omolene for the super picky guys). All the horses were in good weight, shiny, and healthy. Would definitely recommend it!

This is what my Morgan is on and he’s been doing great. Per our vet, low-starch formulas were not working for him (he’d lost over 100lbs) and we went first to a Senior feed, then to Strategy once he’d regained the weight he needed.

Nearly all the horses in our boarding barn are on it and looking sleek and happy (exceptions: one warmblood colt on Ultium and one saintly lesson pony on Senior feed).

thanks, everyone! My horse loves the taste. Still low NSC…max is 19%.
