Pyne Road Horse Park LaGrange

Anyone know anything about this park? I just heard about it.

Yeah,
On 109 just outside of LaGrange (towards Alabama). They have a DEEP sand arena that is good for getting a green horses attention:D.

The trails are single track, with a little change in grade (enough to be interesting). Some go beside West Point Lake. Do not take your horses in the water. They will fine the ever-loving crap out of you if they catch you AND when the water was low we could see loads of scrap metal and other things that would slice & dice your horses legs. The water crossings are wet weather drainage type, keep your eyes peeled for holes on the trail. It is best for a leisurely ride

Troup County saddle club is in charge of the arena and I have heard (not sure) that they will soon require you to be a member to ride the trails. You can ride 2 to 3 hours out there.

We usually go when we have a green horse that needs calming prior to hitting the trails.

I don’t know if it permissible to put a link to another equine site here, if not I apologize. This is our local Pike County Horse Club Site. Go to places to ride, it has the majority of them on the south side. If you find one let me know so I can add it. They do have lights and a clean porta potty and water to hose horses.
