Quality Breeches

Looking for input on good quality comfortable breeches at an affordable price.
Used to be a fan of tailoreds until every pair recently rips in the crotch. I’ve heard good things about four horses, any input on this brand or others?

I’m a big fan of the Smartpak Hadley breeches. Nice material, cost isn’t to bad and there is always a sale.

Smartpak Hadleys are nice for the price (I always buy them on sale!) but beware that they run a tad small. If you are close to in between sizes, size up.

My faves are Romfh Sarafina breeches. The material and fit are fantastic. They have replaced Tailoreds as my favorite show and schooling breeches.

I 2nd smartpak Hadley breeches! Sooo good! I really dislike all the pipers. I think the Hadley breech is even better than Tailored

I have these ones https://officialvisionapparel.com/
Theyre pretty inexpensive compared to others and they’ve held up well so far! I find they fit like Tailoreds but I like this material better.

I love the Smartpak Hadleys and Romph Sarafinas and find they wear better than Tailoreds.
I also hear For horses, Equiline, and Struck breeches are quite lovely.

I like the Hadley’s as well. Also a big fan of the RJ Gulfs, though price-wise those are fairly equivalent to TS.

People have raved about the George Morris breeches. Personally I love the B Vertigo by Horze, but you have to twist until those go on sale because they’re just as pricey as the tailoreds.

Not a a fan of the pipers, they also ripe right through the crotch.

The Ovation Celebrity DX wear like iron. You cannot kill those things. And the price is right at something like $100-120. As is the case with all breeches, whatever fits you best is what you are probably going to be most comfortable and confident in. I also like the Treadstep Symphony Rosa. They have lasted forever and wash/dry just fine in the laundry.

I love the B Vertigo Breeches too. Fit me great and so comfortable. I find them frequently on eBay.

Anyone have Huntley beige breeches??

I have moved onto Struck for everything now. They are expensive, but they last and last. I treat ming like garbage and wash them with regular clothes and they are bomb proof. To me, it is worth the extra cost.

TS is still my go-to (partly cause I love side-zip and can’t find nice breeches in side zip other than TS), but I agree about Hadleys. I don’t love the Rompf because they are too high waisted for my frame. I recently got a pair of Smartpak’s new Alexus breeches and they are just like the Hadley’s, but low rise instead of mid-rise–very flattering and comfy.

Yes, they are what I use for my hunter show breeches. If you are in between sizes or could go either way, go up a size in them, particularly for the tan. I love them, they are wear-all-day comfortable for me, and thick enough for decent coverage without being too thick for hot weather!

Loving the ROMFH right now. I like the Four Horses but they can be a little big through the calf (which was my problem with HorS). I also heard GoDho revamped their breeches a little and are much better!

Struck breeches are my favourites now. Very comfortable, flattering and they are easier to keep clean than all of the other breeches I have tried. Nice and sticky knee patches help too.

I tried on a pair of Tredstep Nero II breeches and love them. They feel like the Rompf and fit well. They are $99 or so at Dover.

How do the Struck fit? I’m having a hard time figuring out my size. 26R in TS (and 24/25 in jeans)

Struck breeches are cut generously, so I recommend you drop one size from your TS size. (30-29)

How do the Romfh breeches run? TTS? Size up or down?
