Just perused the list of 2.5 year old stallions being presented for licensing with the Hannoverner Verband and quite a few Quaterhall’s on that list. Glad I have two doses in my tank:)

Other well represented were my two other favorite stallions Florsicount and Benetton Dream! Got some Floriscount in my tank too:)

Sadly I can’t use BD as he is Bretano II-Rotspon-Davignon and my mare line is Davignon and Rotspon. I do have some Brentano II in my tank though to maybe make my own BD one day:)

Will be a fun licensing this year!!! Can’t wait.

I have Floriscount and Quaterhall on my list for the coming season too. Both are equally well suited to the mare in question but for some reason my leanings seem to be toward the F-lines. I have already used Furstenball and Furst Nymphenberg. Perhaps it’s time to shake it up a little and do a Q for a change?

Tell us more about quaterhall. What does he produce and what mares was he used on to produce the potential stallion sons?

It appears that he has been used with a huge variety of different mare lines. What I have seen him bring to the table are longer lines, usually a bigger frame, above average movement (including walk). This past summer at the mare shows we attended almost all the Quaterhall mares were above average in walk/ trot, had good use of the back and hind leg, and “modern” in build.

The Floriscounts were similar actually.

I love what Floriscount is producing. I have tried him a number of times without success. This year I bred him to one of my favourite riding horses and despite the semen looking terrible, it actually worked! I am so excited as I think she is just the right type of mare for him.
