Is it ever appropriate to wear a coat like this one while riding astride? I know the cutaway is correct with a sidesaddle habit, but how about with breeches as pictured here? I have a gorgeous handmade cutaway in navy that I’m dying to wear somewhere.

Really depends upon which hunt you are riding with. It would have been fine for ratcatcher Wednesdays with my hunt but you’d likely have been kidded a bit at first by the few male members who kidded folks about any- and everything.
