Question about a short block, ever see this placement before?

Currently looking for “another” saddle. Came across this interesting block placement. Have you ever seen one like this? I have a freaky long femur. This one has a forward flap.
My older saddle was an older Advantage with internal blocks, XL long flaps.

I wish my saddle had a shorter block like that. My trainer discussed with the manufacturer (she’s sponsored by them) the problem with a longer block wand my personal conformation. It’s been brought up before occasionally for short riders with long femurs, but the manufacturer said they weren’t pursuing it at the time.

That looks like my dream as someone with a short femur and naturally closed hip. Looks like the worst case you just won’t have much contact if your leg is straighter.

Ok, I completed the purchase. 18 seat that looks super comfy.

Is this a Custom Saddlery saddle? I would love it if my Custom had one like this. I have the Wolfgang with the long block and it fights me so, so much.

Yes, an older custom. Sold my Advantage & grabbed this.

I have a long femur and that’s the kind of block I have used on my last two saddles. It does look like the angle is a bit off though, mine has the top part of the block a bit straighter and closer to the front of the saddle.

That block looks like it will force you into a chair seat.

I was thinking the same thing…I think the block can be repositioned by the saddle fitter. I had a Dresch with that block and they had to make a minor adjustment for me a few years ago.

Only if you insist upon shoving your thighs against it.

It’s out of the way and allows freedom of movement, yet would still be helpful in acrobatic moments.
