Hello! I am going to be taking a colt in from Texas who is currently on what they call “coastal” hay. Can anyone tell me how this hay compares to the orchard grass hay? We currently feed grass hay to our horses and supplement with an alfalfa soaked pelleted supplement so I’m curious on how the orchard grass hay will differ compared to the coastal that the colt is currently eating. We’re going to ask for some bales to be sent when he’s shipped so we can transition him.
