Now that I am the ecstatic owner of a super fancy Welsh pony, who was EVERYTHING and more that I was looking for as a first pony for my tiny rider, I want to start collecting tack for when my daughter is ready to start showing. Where is the best place online to find pony tack? And in your opinion, what is the best anatomic/ergonomic (big fan of these with my own horses) bridle for a pony?
Shouldn’t a post like this come with pictures so we can all drool??
I have a welsh hony (15.2, so sad for the pony world but not for meeee) and I use a professional choice no-slip girth on him. In fact I think we use their no slip girth on every pony we have in the barn. I’d be more likely to go that route with a pony than an anatomic girth. Slippery little suckers.

is one place to look.
Anatomic bridle, I like the Lettia coolmax girths myself, but I’ll check that girth out.
@hairystockings is right. Get the Professional Choice no-slip girth. Or you’ll find out the hard way why you need it!
I like the site justforponies.com.
The pony is adorable!! Is it a small or medium?
She’s a small, just 12.1 hands. rubs her hands with glee it leaves me room to breed for a medium later EG
Oh, what a pretty little thing.
She is adorable!!
I have a 13.1h pony with a refined head and I just purchased a Bobby’s pony sized bridle from Just for Ponies and its just perfect! The quality is amazing and it has a nice cut back for those tiny little ears. They even have a small pony size bridle which would probably fit your girl. The pony size is just perfect for my medium (all buckles are a couple of holes down from the top) and the reins are so nice and fine and are the perfect length. I just love it!

My medium fits nicely into a horse-sized bridle, FYI. I found Bobby’s to be stupid expensive, so if money is a concern maybe look for cob size bridles and see if one of those will fit.
I am somewhat of a bridle hoarder, and I have quite a few horse and cob sized bridles. They are all a no-go. She has one of those super adorable, tiny faces. I’m ordering her a couple of bridles today. One for schooling and one for show. I just bit the bullet and got her a PS of Sweden like my big boys wear and a less expensive schooling bridle. Thank you though.
If she’s welsh she probably needs a true pony size bridle. My hony is half welsh his face is impossible to fit. He’s too big for pony sizes but the narrow petite nature of his nose is too small for most cobb sizes. His show bridle is a CWD and I actually had a cobbler cut about 2 inches off the noseband and move the buckle back so it would fit. It’s fine on the last hole every where else.
I own a pony called walk the line (formerly a stallion, then known as palolo kid.) I do dover.
