Question for veteren Rolex/Kentucky volunteers

I recently signed up to volunteer for the K3DE through the event volunteers dashboard. I understand there’s a waiting list and something of a vetting process for volunteers, so I may not hear for a bit. But I’m trying to gauge when I might hear if I’ve been assigned a job, so that I can coordinate travel.

Do any of you have experience you can share that might help me suss out the timing of getting an assignment? Should I prepare to be able to leave at the last minute? Will I get a week’s notice? That kind of thing. Thanks!!

If you do a search, there are a few threads about volunteering at Rolex. Maybe one of those will help or could PM one of the longtime volunteers from a thread to ask. Good luck!

My daughter got her packet 2 weeks ago. Keep trying and signing up local to you for experience.

They do keep a stand-by list. One way to get a foot in the door.

They are looking for videographers for xc. Sign up on the vip eventing volunteer site.
