question for Voltaire experts

Hi All, I am looking at used Votaire’s online. One has a 2A flap, and one has a 2AA flAP. I am 5’3" with a slim build. I am guessing the 2A is more appropriate. Anyone know? And does anyone have Claude’s email address?

Thanks, fg

Where are you located? If you’re in the southeast, I can put you in touch with the rep that I use. He would likely also be able to get you your local rep’s information or help you make a decision on flap size.

It depends on the length of your femur, how short you like your stirrups, and the size of the seat as well.
I am 5’8 with a very long femur and I ride in a 3AA flap. Voltaire seats run small, so although I have an 18" seat, it fits more like a 17.5.

The saddle I demoed was a 17.5 3A flap. I could have stuck with the 3A, but I like my stirrups really short if I’m on a pony or going cross country, so I went for the extra forward flap. For me, it was the right choice.

If you have a chance to ride in them both, that would be the ultimate. My guess is that you would probably do better in the 2A… But it’s really a personal preference.

What are the other specifications? Seat size? Panelling? Can you give us links to the saddles in question?

Where are you located? I got my used Voltaire from the rep, which might be a good option so you can try them on. They had 5 that I could chose from. I can get you the info for the rep if you’re in the West she’s great.

The rep for BC, Canada was excellent to work with aswell

Thanks, everyone. I’ve ordered the 2A to try. The rep in my area quit. I need to contact Claude to see who the new rep is. fg

If you submit an inquiry throught the website most likely Claude will be the one to respond and get you in touch with a rep.

Claude is pretty good at getting back to you, this time of the year can be rough with Winter Circuits going on…last year I waited about 6 weeks for the rep to come out.
