Question if you've been an apprentice or offered an apprenticeship

I’m writing an article on Apprenticeships and would love to speak to trainers who have offered apprenticeships, and riders who have been an apprentice. I’m focusing on the Western disciplines. I’d love to hear from former or current apprentices - how did you find an apprenticeship, how were you compensated, was it a valuable way to get a foot in the door in the equine industry?
From trainers/farm owners - do you offer apprenticeships, what do you look for in a potential candidate - how do apprentices work in your program?

Thank you so much. Please pm me if you’re interested in participating.

“Apprenticeships” tend to be an opportunity to take advantage of help that you should be paying properly, unless there is oversight by an institution with an interest in the industry.

That is why the DOL has this;

A recognized program that came about because of the lack of cheap immigrant labour;
