Question on shoofly leggings.

Not to problematic levels in my experience. When I was boarding, my donkey would lay down in her shavings-filled stall with them on. Anything that got in there would mostly fall out the bottom. A few would get stuck in her long donkey hair, but since the boots fit so loosely, there wasn’t any issue with rubs or irritation. And let me tell you, I don’t know what that donkey did in her stall when she was sleeping. She must have tried to burrow down into the shavings when she slept because she would be COVERED head to toe.

Now that the horses are home, the sometimes lay down in their straw stalls with them on. That’s not an issue, either.

I love these for my horses. I wouldn’t change a thing about them. I take them off every evening, I wouldn’t want something snug around my ankle 24/7. Also, the fleece at the bottom will hold moisture, so it’s best to let everything dry out. Rarely, I will leave them on at night if conditions are super dry. My only complaint is that the mini size is way too tiny for my mini donkey. I wish there was another size between mini and small horse. I’m on my second season with them and am thinking I’ll probably get a third. My horses keep them on with no problem, but the donkey sometimes looses one in the pasture. Next time, I’ll definitely get orange ones for him so I can find them more easily.

Just this year, they came out with a pony/donkey size:

It’s between the mini and yearling size. They might be a good option for your mini donkey! My standard donkey wears that size now.

You’ve just made my day! Thank you for letting me know

Mine stay on 24/7 and he is on night TO and in a stall during the day. Love, love, love these boots. It’s so nice to NOT hear any stomping coming from my stall. I have had no issues with rubs and his legs are clipped from the knees/hocks down.
