Questions about a couple of Tekna products

I know there are a few threads on Tekna floating around, but they are older, and I am wondering if anybody has any experience with their new “Letek” dressage saddle? What kind of horse does it fit? Is the seat size true to size? There is one on Facebook that the person keeps dropping the price on, and its getting into the range where I am tempted to get it for schooling.

Also, has anybody seen their new shock absorbing saddle pads in person? They aren’t even on their website, and I can’t seem to find any information about what is inside them. http://www.victorycanter.com/Tekna-S…ront-Lift.html. I am looking at them as my mare is slightly downhill. Adding a bit of front lift to the front helps me not feel like I am being tipped forward and down too.

Finally, does anybody have experience with their long stirrup leathers? Are they pretty supple, or are they more of the plastic-y synthetic material?

I bought the Letek dressage saddle a few weeks ago and so far am very pleased with it. I already had their jumping saddle so knew the quality was good. I actually had a saddle maker look at that one when I bought it and he was quite impressed.
for $500 I think it would make a great schooling saddle. I like the ease of care as well as the leather-like look (never been a fan of Wintecs.)
only thing I’m not sure I like is the rigging for the girth.
I also removed the thigh blocks but that’s more a personal thing.
17.5 seat was true to fit for me.

The Leteks are nice for the money, much like the entire Tekna line. They are well made, quality materials, and with the wool flocking, can be customized by a fitter, something unheard of generally at that price point.

My only complaint is the fasteners on the panels can be a bit quirky - they’re quarter turn fasteners.

As for the pads, they are synthetic covered closed cell foam. You could use the front lift - or have the saddle flocked to raise it up.

The leathers - the t-lock dressage leathers (for use on the synthetic saddles) are typical synthetic webbing. The microfiber ones are for use on the Leteks and they’re ok. I prefer regular leather leathers to them though.

I was told at one point in my life that I should use synthetic leathers on synthetic saddles, but maybe that isn’t true. I went ahead and got the pad and the leathers. Decided to pass on the saddle for now. Thanks for the feedback!

Any e periences sith their halters?

Wanted to update that the half pad arrived yesterday. It isn’t exactly what I expected. The outside material is their fake leather, for some reason I was expecting cloth. I was also worried that it would be slippery, but it proved to be pretty stable. The material feels like some kind of memory foam, and does squishy down pretty good. My only really complaint is that it is looooooong. Even under my 18 inch saddle I had several inches behind the saddle, and it hung off my saddle pad.

LOVELY halters. Looks like leather, holds up well.
