Quick reply not working?

At least for me, even with the update, the Quick Reply box should now let you type away without clicking anything and without quoting anyone (if you don’t click on an existing post first).

Just now I clicked the Quick Reply icon of this post, and it popped me in to this window.

Yes, I know I can scroll down and type in the available window without clicking anything; but I thought that messed up people who are reading in the “threaded” view.

Nope–the threaded view is an option that the site administrators can select. If it’s on, everyone views the forum that way. We don’t use it here.

The software default requires people to click on a post in order to activate the Quick Reply box in case the site utilizes the threaded view. We don’t and never have, but we never switched it from that default until recently. Should save our Quick Repliers a click!
