Would this be the size and style that most of you would recommend for inspections? My Oldenburg filly will be almost 4 months old on her inspection date but has a very refined head.

Mine is stamped FS, or foal sized. I imagine it is the same one. I ordered black though (bay filly).
When in doubt I would give them a call. They are very good about answering questions.
i purchase quillin foal halters each year… currently my 3 month old foals are in NS (newborn size) still (used them when they were first born)… they will move into the FS (foal size) probably within a month which will fit them until October when they are weaned and shipped. LOVE those foal halters… I get Calico.
I forgot to add… as much as I LOVE Quillin (all my horses have these halters) for the foal inspections I had this company create bitless bridles in foal, weanling and yearling sizes for me… they are so cute. They adjust on the side like a bridle and have a rolled throat latch and nose bands. Not sure if they do anymore but I just wrote to ask. You can try.

Here is picture of one of my foals with it on at inspection.
I used to use Quillen halters and they are very nice, but I didn’t like the large ring underneath of the chin. It is the same size as the one on the horse halter. I have found these halters from KYHORSE and they are great quality. They also have the throat snap all the way down to the newborn size. I usually get the newborn and suckling size as the weanling size for both Quillen and KYHORSE tend to be too big.

Just wanted to give a shout-out to HiddenacresMI…
LOVE the woman at peopleonhorses site you posted. I need a show halter in a big fat hurry. We are emailing back and forth to figure out if she has one in stock that will fit. Even if she doesn’t, her quick replies and helpfulness have been…ummmm… VERY refreshing!
THanks so much Cheryl!

Quillen rocks. They tend to run large anyway, so they will put extra holes in for free if you request.
Meg - I LOVE the large rings…when you are chasing in a ring with a snap in your hand I want a bigger target lol! But they will make a flat one if you request too!
