Racing Arabian- CANTER Delaware Park

I know they are popular as endurance mounts. She was cute. I should have a video later.

I want. Now.

We list Arabs in Colorado, too!!

Currently for sale:

Victoria’s Zell–lovely mare, and ready to go 25 miles or more when we saw her at the end of the season. I think she is at the owner’s farm in Colorado.

Half arab, just listed: Bens Jewel Bydora. I haven’t seen this one, but this trainer has had some really nice horses!

oooh Sandals has an excellent pedigree. She’s by Burning Sand out of a Patriot Missle+/ daughter who has MHR Nobility on her dam side. 2 years racing (2012 and 2011) she has 14 starts, 1 win, 13 placed. $8670 in earnings (Arab purses are small)

Bill Waldron breeds some excellent endurance horses. Thank goodness I live more than 1 state away lol.

REALLY nice mare. Just love her.

Wow, I just wanted to look out of curiosity, but got this message:

403: Access Forbidden

Your country (DK) has been blacklisted.

They blacklisted an entire country!!??

Clear you cache and refresh–CANTER has had some recent issues with their site, but I believe the problem of various countries being blocked has been fixed.

Victoria’s Zell has a new home

Grenada- where I currently reside, is blacklisted as well. It makes me so upset! I want to see the pretty pony too!

Oooh, yes–we had some attacks from other countries. I will get it fixed pronto

I am an enabler

Sandals has a new home

I sent the listing for Sandals to April, my sister-in-law, who does endurance riding, on Oct. 3. Yesterday morning she called me and told me that she had talked to Sandals’ trainer and was picking her up at the end of the month when the racing is done.

April and her trainer had just been discussing what type of new horse she wanted, and she had looked at a couple of ads, but had seen nothing that called to her. But her trainer had said just wait and a horse will just drop in to your lap, it always does. Just the next day I sent the link to Sandals. She totally fit the description, without me knowing the requirements.

So now, does anyone have any good directions to Delaware Park from southern Maine pulling a trailer?

That is SO cool! Congratulations to your sister-in-law. Really nice mare.

What a gorgeous mare! Congrats to your SIL. I’ll be curious to see what she looks like let down from the track/in her new career!

Congrats to your sister in law!

I live on the Seacoast of NH, and travel up and down the east coast all the time with my games ponies. We go 495 to 290 to 84 to 684, TappenZee bridge, Garden State Parkway (allows regular trailers, but no commercial vehicles or tractor trailers) to the NJ Turnpike. Avoid the George Washington Bridge. It doesn’t matter what time of day or what day. I’ve gotten stuck on that stupid bridge at 7 on a Sunday night or noon on a weekday. You want to hit the Tappenzee after the morning rush, 9:30 to 10 am seems to work well for us going south. We sometimes hit some traffic in Connecticut. We leave home around 4:30 for our 10 hour drive to Upper Marlboro MD, or around 6 for our 8 hour drive to southern NJ. For us it’s 4 and a half hours driving time to the Tappenzee, but we always seem to have to stop to pee somewhere in there, which makes it closer to 5 hours. We used to go out 84 over the Fishkill bridge and down 87, but that adds at least an hour in travel time, and really, if you time the arrival at the Tappenzee right the traffic is not so bad. Coming home on a Sunday it can be bad, depending on the timing. We always get stuck on the NJ turnpike on Sunday afternoons, but I haven’t figured out a way to avoid that.
