I’ve been looking for a barn in north Raleigh that is within 20 minutes of brier creek that offers eventing lessons and possibly the ability to work off some of the lesson cost. I’ve been riding for over ten years, however the last few years it has been off-and-on whenever I could catch ride a horse so I need to get back into riding shape. It’s also been a few years since I’ve jumped and I’d love a trainer who can bring me back into it and then introduce me to the sport of eventing. I’d like to stay under $55 a lesson (if possible) and would need access to a lesson horse as I don’t have one of my own. I’d prefer not to be in a barn full of young kids, although that’s not a deal breaker if the trainer is amazing! Thanks in advance for the recommendations!

If you do Facebook-go to the Triangle Area Equestrian Page and post. That page covers the Raleigh area. I don’t know anyone up in Raleigh but there are plenty of trainers with lesson horses in Southern Pines which is about 45 minutes south of you. Caitlin Romeo Hansen is a good choice-Advanced level rider has lesson horses and Whitney Weston runs Southern Pines Riding Academy
