I love the Rambo V neck fit. However, my horses sweat in the shoulder area due to the lining. I am thinking of cutting that lining out everywhere but across the point of the shoulder. Has anyone ever butchered an expensive fly sheet in such a manner? Thank you!
I have only cut off tail flaps on Rambo fly sheets. They wreck the tops of tails. I say do it!
Thank you…and great idea about the tail flap. I’m doing that, too. I have the impression the weight of the flap pulls the fly sheet back a bit.
I just pinned the tail flap back vs cutting.
I’d worry cutting the shoulder lining would cause rubbing as my Rambo Fly sheets have a tendency to pull the sheet tight against the shoulders.
I understand-that’s why I was thinking a partial removal; leaving a strip over the point of the shoulder. How did you pin the tail flap up?
First I just used plastic safety pins to make sure it was a good idea.
My permanent solution is sewed in snap fasteners.
I only had one tail flap that seemed to rub the top of the tail.
