Rappahannock Hunt Fun Hunter Pace

Next Sunday, October 10th, Rappahannock Hunt will be doing its Fall Fun Hunter Pace. The Pace is being held at Larry Levy’s farm The Hill. This is pretty easy to get to as it is about ten miles west of Culpeper.

The Hill is a gorgeous farm of rolling hills. The course is about 6.3 miles. It will have 22 jumps of varying types and sizes. All jumps are optional.

We will be having a fast time jumper division, optimal time jumper division and a optimal time flat division.

The cost is $40 per rider and the event will start at 9:00 AM on Sunday.

To get to the farm, take 522 west out of Culpeper about ten miles. You’ll see the Rappahannock Hunt signs on the left. Come up the hill and park in the field on the left.

Would this be suitable for 1st time horses? With experienced riders of course

I don’t see why not. You can take your time.

Bump!

What a special venue that is too! Wonderful hunt country! Looks like the weather and footing will be perfect!

Hats off to Rappahannock Hunt for an absolutely terrific hunter pace.

Everyone was incredibly friendly, the course was well marked, there was a terrific spread afterwards - and WOW - what a fixture.

We got to the top of one hill and right in front of us… mountains.
It was like being on top of the world. An absolutely gorgeous autumn morning, complete with a bear sighting (about 300lb bear)

And, drum roll please, the team I was on placed 3rd in the Hunter Division.

To everyone associated with Rappahannock Hunt - a big THANK YOU!!!
