Raw diet for IBD cat -- IBD cat owners and raw feeders, I need your wisdom!
I feed my cats in kennels so that there is no chance they will run with their food if they think I am going to take it.
No, I was thinking of plates not cleaned after every meal, and bacteria build up causing IBD issues, same thing with water. Plastic containers always get scummy, pyrex can be washed in the dishwasher or hand washed to “squeaky” clean in hot water.

Kennels? Are you talking cats or big cats or exotics?

Haha regular cats. There are kennels appropriate for cats, they aren’t big. I use glass plates, they clean really easy. Pyrex is good too I agree. I love my pyrex cookware

Ah. I feed from stainless steel and I have several bowls so that I can wash each in hot hot water and air dry after each meal. Is glass preferable? I’m hesitant to use paper plates cause I’m a bit of a germophobe and I would worry about the garbage can growing icky substances.

I think stainless steel is fine. For bowls in general as long as its not small to where their whiskers touch the sides its okay.

Stainless steel is good. That’s what I use. The main thing is no plastic as it tends to hold bacteria.

Thanks, Jhein12 and Lilypad!

I feed my IBD cat a premix raw diet that I add ground turkey or chicken to. Rather than bagging and freezing, I bought some glad containers large enough for my cat to eat from. Feeding is super easy. I thaw 2 days of food and at feeding time remove lid and put down for dinner.
