I only found one 9 year old thread on these so figured it was time for a new one. Am looking for feedback on these shoes.

Here’s the back story:
I transitioned my mare to barefoot late last summer. Everything went great for a while but now it seems like her frog is contracting and her feet are getting more narrow, even though I know the opposite is supposed to happen when you take them barefoot. This is only her fronts - hinds are fine. Note, her hooves are super hard but she doesn’t have great sole depth (just did x-rays). In the summer she’s out on grass 12 hours or so, but in the winter she’s in a dry lot that is 3/8 minus gravel, so I’m guessing the gravel is the contributing factor.
Anyway, vet suggests a frog support pad. We’ve tried the usual ones in the past and she appears lame with them on. Take them off and she’s immediately fine. So she doesn’t like a lot of frog support.
We decided to try the Razer pads because they come in an extra soft version for the frog support. The thinking is start her out in the extra soft and then move to the soft, etc. as she tolerates them.
In looking at the pads, I became intrigued by the shoes themselves, specifically that they are light, flexible, low-profile, and can be fitted more tightly and with less length than regular shoes. Not only does she have a real problem pulling shoes (which is why we decided to try barefoot) from overreaching - usually in turnout - but my trainer and I have decided that she actually moves better barefoot than with shoes.
And note that I have never been able to find a bell boot that is long enough to cover the back of her shoes without being way too wide on her, for those of you thinking regular shoes plus bells will fix the shoe pulling problem.
Any thoughts?
