Anyone using these for frog support? My farrier and i are still working thru the best course of action for my horse. I would like some frog support to help him grow more frog. The Razor Propads look pretty nice. You can also cut the hole out of the center. Idk if that makes it easier to keep the hoof clean or not.
I used these with my mare, both the extra soft and the medium firmness ones. When she’s shod, I like her to have frog support, but she does NOT like the usual, very firm frog support pads - she goes lame on those. So we tried the razor pads because they were so soft. She like both ones we tried.
We only stopped using them because we went back to barefoot when we once again got to the point of not wanting to deal with her pulling shoes all of the time.

My horse has worn these for several years due to npa developing without pads. Farrier puts equipak underneath to fill in the gaps and horse does just fine in them.
