Title says it all; here’s the link:

Previous years I’ve been able to avoid this because it was a live auction. But now it’s online and so darn easy!!! So many nice horses too

There are photos according the the RCMP page:
www.bit.ly/RCMPFoundationAuction

View horse pages online and in the live-auction catalogue where you will find

 • Name, age, gender, height, colour
 • Descriptions of each horse complete with images and video (watch for updates)
 • Immediate online access to X-rays, Health Certificate, pedigree

My previous post is unapproved at the moment so I will repeat the info here without the auction link, but you can copy and paste it from the Horse-Canada page which is in my first post. Well, you can just click on it too, which is easier.

The RCMP auction page has more info, including photos and videos. According to the RCMP auction page:

View horse pages online and in the live-auction catalogue where you will find

 • Name, age, gender, height, colour
 • Descriptions of each horse complete with images and video (watch for updates)
 • Immediate online access to X-rays, Health Certificate, pedigree

If you go to the RCMP auction page and click “register now” you can see the horses. You do not need to put in any information to do so. I am not seeing any videos.

ETA - it looks like Jury, Geneva, & Judicial are the only three with videos at this time.

Any idea how much they tend to go for roughly?

P.

May be a decent opportunity to pick up a fairly nice horse. I’d have to see how high bids go.

Personally, I got more wrapped up in the Thoroughbred Stallion page

Interesting to read the descriptions. Then read the vet summary. On some of them, I drew very different conclusions about their potential uses!

Horses don’t go for cheap at that auction…but they are very nice, well handled, well raised animals. That’s where Sir Wannabi was purchased!

And also Color Guard

And at Canadian prices, there are quite a few Americans bidding on them and getting a great deal.

It’s good they have the vet reports etc. I looked for curiosity and saw one and thought wow he’s handsome! But then saw that he’d had OCD surgery in both hocks. Another one with a history of suspensory injury. etc. Glad for the full disclosure. Makes it easier to look away

The RCMP Live Auction is on Saturday October 13, with horses starting to sell at 1pm. All bidding tickets have been assigned, including telephone bids. This year the sale has been split into two components, 1. On-line Auction and 2. Live Auction. The online has closed with 18 horses sold, at an average of $13,230 Canadian dollars ($10,336 USD) including all ages. Past sales average $21,200 (CAN) for riding horses with historic top buys at $42,000 and $37,000 Canadian dollars. American buyers pay less due to exchange rate.
