Reading Stubben Flap Codes

Looking for insight on decoding Stubben stamps, specifically related to flap length. I am looking for a newer Portos, Ascend, Aviator, or Phoenix and hoping to get insight related to identifying long AND forward flaps on some of these saddles.

3AA flap w/ 17.5" or 18" seat on brands like Voltaire work really well for me.

I know the Portos alone has 11 different flap options. I have no idea how to read the Stubben stamps to determine panel length and forwardness, and haven’t come across any helpful information on the Stubben website.

I unfortunately don’t live anywhere close to a Stubben fitter so having one out is simply not an option.

To the best of my knowledge, Stubbens just have the serial number of the saddle. No code for flap or panels. There is a letter that denotes year and sometimes the seat size. You would need to contact Stubben with the serial number of the saddle you are considering to see what options it has.

Darn! Thank you for the insight!

Email “info@stubbennorthamerica.com” with the serial number.

I got a prompt response with all the information when I emailed them.
