Really, Dressage Hub?

I don’t fully understand how facebook works, but I would think 30 thousand FOLLOWERS would generate more responses. 100 responses is less then 1/3 of a %. I think statistically this doesn’t compute, but I’m no authority. I guess it could be readers who are not really involved in her content?

I saw that SW says the person who started the petition to eliminate DH owes her money. Is SW saying SJ started the petition or does someone else owe her money also?

So the way that Facebook works now is they only put your posts in front of a small number of your followers, maybe 500 of that 30,000. Very likely she has that many people that like the page/follow. But it is also very likely that 25k never see anything unless they specifically go to that page on their own. It doesn’t show up on their feed. This is because FB now wants you to pay to get your stuff out to more people, even your own followers. So numbers don’t mean that your info is getting out to that many people. 5 years ago it did, but not anymore.

So desperate times requires desperate measures.

She had just over 30,000 about 3 years ago when I originally liked her page and that number has barely changed. I remember when I joined thinking oh wow 30,000 likes it must be a good page. Lol. If you gain 30,000 likes when you start out and that number hardly grows after 3 years that’s just odd. Wouldn’t it continue to steadily grow year after year? Dressage hub isn’t even four years old. How did she gain so many followers in the first year just starting out? Has to be fake. You can buy YouTube subscribers too. She was saying on her personal page that all her subscribers are real. Why even mention it? Just seems odd and made me look into being able to buy likes and subscribers.

While new members are certainly appreciated I am noticing a trend of some VERY new folks coming here to talk just on this thread and put forward some of the nastier comments and unfounded accusations. This gives the appearance of either someone who is very upset and using an alt/new account that can’t be traced so they can vent in peace… or an attempt to stir up more “wild” accusations and nasty comments that can be used as proof of bullying. Not saying it has to be one or the other, just my read on the situation.

There is no indication that the followers are “fake”. The holding steady is a trend many organizations face. Eventually you will hit the saturation point. Let’s stick to things we can verify shall we? That way if it is an attempt to troll this board no one fall prey to that.

I never questioned her followers until she started bragging about them on her personal page and stated she can prove they are real. Why even say that? That made me look into buying likes and followers which is quite easy and cheap. Plus the fact she had over 30,000 in her first year doesn’t seem right to me now that I think about it. She said she can prove it so let’s see the proof.

We actually have a great thing in this country called innocent until proven guilty.

I understand being upset at DH. I understand wanting to vent, but COTH is overall a well moderated and positive community and I have faith that this community will not fall behind this. If you have information related to actual account buying in this specific case then by all means please share but doing research on it being something that she could do is not enough to start stirring this pot. We’ve been warned once on this thread to not make personal attacks, this is getting closer to that so moving on…

Under the current algorithm approx 8-10% of a page’s followers will see a post organically. Paid ads and boosts (which SW uses liberally) will put your posts in a lot more news feeds, naturally.

30,000 is not a huge number (1/3 of the followers Dressage Today has on Facebook) but given her extremely low engagement numbers, lack of any growth over three years and the fact she apparently started with 30k followers I wouldn’t be at all surprised if she had bought followers initially to boost her numbers. And contrary to what a poster said above, lack of community growth is a VERY big deal in social media. If I couldn’t show substantial growth in both followers and quality engagements month to month and year over year, every one of my clients would fire me, or at least demand a ccomplete new social media strategy.

Either way it doesn’t matter. Dressage Hub has no true “engagement” in the social media / influencer marketing sense, and no brand value to make the page attractive to potential advertisers, sponsors, or expert ambassadors. When you have to rely on clickbait and fake controversy to get page views and comments, it’s time to pack it in.

I agree with Bigmama1. I don’t necessarily think that her members are fake. I just think that most of them have liked Dressage Hub and have not really paid attention to or are not aware of the controversy. A lot of the comments were from people who had basic knowledge of horses, many of the people who said they didn’t see any lameness got their comments deleted.

She got a lot of comments on her clickbait videos with her war on Canada and anyone who defended them but she deleted at least twice as many comments and deleted how many members who felt she was going too far? The Halflinger video had dozens and dozens of comments defending the trainer and horse but she deleted all of them and blocked all of those people.

While she and the few people that post on her personal page seem to relish drama it isn’t how you earn a good reputation or gain followers. She has already seen herself banned and forced to more heavily rely on drama and stolen videos. While she thinks that the clicks are good business it’s really people slowing down to watch someone’s house burn to the ground.

At this point having your video trashed on Dressage Hub is a badge of honor. It means you threw aside your fears of retaliation and defended someone you felt needed defending. It’s really almost comical. Any professional who defends someone she attacked is attacked. Immediately and predictably.

What she did to SJ she did almost the same thing to another person. According to her face page She was involved in a home invasion and was assaulted. Her good friend that owns the house she was assaulted in, who had nothing to do with the assault, She decided he owes her $8500 to pay for treatment on her neck and that he should pay for her councelling services. His insurance wouldn’t pay this so she decided he should. He refused and has cut off contact with her now after she started posting embarrassing photos of him and stated she was making videos of him. This is all on her personal page open to the public. Poor guy.

She said today she has only posted bad stuff on just 3 riders. It’s been more then 3. There’s been 4 just this month. Ive seen at least 7 and there’s probably more.

i dont get why she thinks sj owes her money. I think she nullified any some called verbal contract with sj when she repeatedly started posting content sj didn’t agree with. She said her horse went lame so couldnt take more lessons either so that doesn’t mean sj owes her money. If she didn’t start posting content sj didn’t agree with she could have continued with lessons when her horse became sound or found another horse to take those lessons with. She has been trying to extort money by holding social media ransom and the bullying against sj for the last 4 years is just horrible. She is still posting bad videos of sj under sj YouTube account. This is so wrong. Sj and the people sticking up for sj have been so professional and brave. I really admire them especially in how they have handled being bullied like this.

Can you put up a screen shot?

@Sistersiouxz is this the info you wanted?

The Canadian Police have never brought charges against the men who she accused of attacking her. They did catch the men, they committed other crimes.

Where I live that would indicate the police did not feel the story was credible,

I too would think it wise for a screen shot of her bullying (extorting?) Facebook posts to be preserved.

Yes, thank you, and also a screen shot of SW’s personal page harassment of the male friend for the $8500.00 in medical payments that Dressage Lover wrote about.

I commented on her latest video, the one about the petition, and she blocked and deleted me. Lol

I wonder how many people have had comments deleted and/or been blocked from Dressage Hub ?

Oh dear. There’s another video? Clearly she was saddened that all the furor had died down and no one was talking about her anymore and decided to stir the pot again to generate some clicks. It would be sad if it weren’t all so crazy.

It’s a shame as she had finally backed off a bit from attacking the Wellington people and now she has this video up. Of course the only comments are positive as she deletes everything else. The irony is the people who are responding think she’s the one being bullied and that the riders are abusive, they have no idea.

I think the post on her page of people sending emails to the employees of her friends is insane crazy talk.
